CIVIL WAR HARDTACK CRATE
The wooden crate is a replica of the type used to transport the Army bread (Hardtack) to the front lines during the Civil War.
Measurements are 25" long x 16" wide x 12" deep and weighs about 17lbs empty. The crade is made from #2 pine glued and nailed with period nails. Brass screws are used on the top battens to hold the top flat. If you would like hemp handles or brass hindges for the top added, call us for cost information.
